Our cozy yurt is located deep in the Cascades at 6,000 feet surrounded by rugged North Cascades peaks. On the first day we fly our guests and their gear to the yurt. The next three or four days is spent touring some of the finest backcountry terrain around. On the last day most of our guests find it difficult to leave and return to reality. Escape to the Barron yurt and see what brings groups back year after year.

The yurt program includes round trip helicopter flights, guide services and three or four nights at the yurt with catered meals.

There is a noted absence of backcountry huts or lodges in the Pacific Northwest. With our abundant snowfall and often times difficult access, an extended ski trip into the backcountry makes perfect sense. The trick is doing it in comfort.

The Barron Yurt is located just north of Hart's Pass and provides some incredible touring with all the creature comforts of a backcountry hut. The views of the North Cascades from this area are much different from those around Washington Pass and afford a unique perspective on many of the peaks in North Cascades National Park.

4 night yurt trip - $1,450 per guest with a required deposit of full payment. Pricing does not include Washington State sales tax of 8.2%. Available Sunday through Wednesday departing Sunday afternoon and returning Thursday afternoon.

Super Cozy, Comfortable and Warm

The peak directly above the yurt is called Tamarack and can be skied on almost all aspects after about a 20-minute skin from the front door of the yurt. On the other side of the Valley, Buffalo Pass ridge offers lines from 800-1,500 feet, also about a 30-minute ascent from the front door.

The yurt is 30 feet in diameter and is set up to sleep 10 (8 guests and 2 guides). There is a wood stove and propane stove for heat, a propane cook stove, well-stocked kitchen, propane lights and both single and queen size bunks. There is an indoor bathroom and shower. Super cozy, comfortable and warm- all you need after a day in the mountains. We serve up fully catered meals, so all you need to do is bring your beverages of choice and kick back at night after a good day's touring!
