North Cascade Heli

Snow blanketed the North Cascades Monday and Tuesday with more than three feet accumulating in the high alpine. We also got a fresh coat on the valley floor in Mazama, and the Nordic skiers and fat bikers are happy. Light snow is possible around Christmas day, followed by more snowy weather through the New Year. We're in great shape for opening day on January 12.

Skiers and riders who want to fly with us this year should reserve soon, as we're nearly sold out for the 2018 season. We have limited availability March 15-25. Pull the trigger now, or miss out on the fun and fresh powder in the North Cascades.

This is the season to go heli-skiing with NCH. La Niña conditions means chances of fresh powder are more likely throughout the season. In the North Cascades that translates to a DEEP snowpack and pristine powder runs from the helicopter.

Heli-skiing in the North Cascades is an experience that every skier and rider deserves. We access pure backcountry terrain with landings on remote peaks at elevations of 7,000-9,000 feet. Runs range from 1,500-4,000 vertical feet each. Our guests rack up thousands upon thousands of vertical feet of untracked powder every day. This is world class powder skiing right here in Washington State.

The North Cascades are called the "American Alps," and when you see them you'll know why. The vertical relief of these mountains is huge, and the sheer number of massifs, peaks, ridgelines, and spires is staggering. It is a unique alpine environment up here in our corner of the Cascade Range with drier powder snow.

Best wishes to you and your family during the Holiday Season.
