Get ready for deep powder days in the North Cascades. The massive snow-producing weather phenomenon known as La Niña has taken charge for the winter.
The early season snowpack is already quite healthy throughout much of our heli-ski terrain with consistent fall storms piling up the snow throughout November. Depending on the elevation and zone we have 4-5 feet here in the North Cascades. Though we're currently stuck in a persistent high pressure pattern, snow will inevitably return.
Historically, La Niña winters have treated us well in the North Cascades. Very well indeed, with colder than average temperatures and above average snowfall. We foresee many deep powder days ahead, and invite you to join us to ski and ride the incredible terrain of the North Cascades.
Down here on the Valley floor there is enough snow for cross country skiing and fat biking, so we're still having fun on the snow while waiting for the pow to return.
