North Cascade Heli

Are you ready to go heli-skiing?

Storm trains continue to roll over the North Cascades delivering massive quantities of powder snow! The photo below was shot by guide John Schaefer in early January 2020. We're now measuring snowfall in meters from accumulations during the last 10 days, and the snow pack is getting deeper by the minute. The stage is set for our 2020 heli-skiing season, with opening day on Friday, Jan. 17. We have seats available in January, so if you feel like heading over to Mazama to enjoy Washington State's best high-alpine powder skiing, get in touch with our office at info@heli-ski.com or call 509-996-3272.

OSB's Rotor Wash IPA second-annual release night is Jan. 17 in Twisp - with live jams by Loose Notes

On Friday, Jan. 17 - following our opening day of heli-skiing - Old Schoolhouse Brewery and North Cascade Heli present the second annual Rotor Wash IPA release night at the OSB Taproom in Twisp! The party starts at 5 p.m. with Loose Notes taking the stage at 6 p.m.

Rotor Wash IPA is a winter-style throwback IPA brewed to be the perfect sipper as the Cascades snow piles up. This amber beauty has a true malt backbone, a distinct, balanced bitterness and a clean mouthfeel. Rotor Wash IPA highlights Cascade & Chinook hops to provide a classic piney bitterness, while 692, Simcoe, Amarillo, and Azzaca Cryo add vanilla and fruit characteristics. Malty notes and bitterness vie for attention while the creative hop additions ensure that Rotor Wash IPA will continue to be your go-to post shredding brew.

Blue Star Coffee's new Cosmic Blast Roaster's Choice - exciting and classic, just like our heli-skiing run that it's named after

Methow Valley-based Blue Star Coffee Roaster's new Columbia AA mountain-grown coffee, inspired by one of the most mind-blowing heli-skiing runs in our tenure, is smooth and sweet, with layers of molasses and caramel and a clean, bright finish.

We'll be serving Cosmic Blast coffee at the Heli Barn every morning during our heli-skiing season and during our yurt trips. Cosmic Blast beans will also be available for purchase at numerous stores and coffee shops around Washington State.

Cosmic Blast is designed to fuel all of your snow adventures, from heli-skiing to however you enjoy spending time outdoors during the winter months. Drop in to Blue Star's roasting facility and tasting room in Twisp and have a cup or two of Cosmic Blast!

Please note that due to low snow at Loup Loup there will be no NCH sponsored ski day. Pray for snow at the Loup!
